The Opportunity

Our location in Columbus, OH, currently has an opportunity for a Manager - Market Insights, Data Analytics. This position will work to support the availability of datasets and dataflows key to current workflows and reporting as well as work to develop the next generation of tools for the same. It will have key stakeholders across many business functions as we support the integrity and availability of datasets made available for them to provide accurate and timely analysis, as well as identifying opportunities to improve Abbott reporting processes and analytics to better serve business reporting needs.

What you'll work on

• Identify knowledge gaps in context of current business needs, recommending and aligning management to closing these gaps through Reporting (Ad-Hoc or Perpetual Dashboarding) as well as Harmonizing and Democratizing new or under-utilized data sources.

• Manage relationship with key data and technology suppliers with a focus on US Sales Performance reporting

• Demonstrates agility in managing multiple priorities and projects in a complex environment.

• Continual work to collaborate and improve processes that Collect, Ingest, Harmonize, Manage, and Democratize various disparate datasets.

• Partner as applicable in the creation and improvement of data visualizations with intuitive user interfaces.

• Sharing of best practices and/or liaison for applicable training sessions as applicable for tools, resources, and reporting.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of advanced analytics and/or commercial analytics experience; preferably in a CPG environment
  • Strong influencing skills, and ability to work effectively with all levels of business team management.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with relational databases.
  • Knowledge and experience in Advanced Data Analytics tools and languages; Azure, SQL, R, Python, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge in SQL and ETL tools and techniques; E.g., Azure Data Factory, Stored Procedures, Views (creation/altering), Indexing, etc.
  • Proven ability to adapt to emerging trends in tools, techniques, and languages as it relates to Data Engineering functions
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree. MBA preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to coach others and build organizational talent relative to data and analytics and strategic thought.

• Strong analytical skills - familiarity with retail sales analytics and data sources; E.g., NielsenIQ.

• Proven ability in translating data to actionable business recommendations.

• Proven ability to integrate data from different data sources to provide clarity and direction to multi-functional team.
