Our location in Columbus, OH, currently has an opportunity for a Manager - Market Insights, Data Analytics
Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:
The individual in this role collaborates with business unit cross-functional teams to train and utilize Syndicated, Panel, Point of Sale, and other databases/models/tools for the entire US division of Abbott Nutrition. This includes the building and executing on both ad-hoc and perpetual reporting and analytics that summarize sales performance, drivers of change, and consumer behavior across a broad assortment of categories and items.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Proactively identify knowledge gaps in context of current business needs, recommending and aligning management to closing these gaps.
- Manage relationship with NielsenIQ and other key data suppliers responsible for US Sales Performance reporting
- Align and execute brand learning plans in partnership with multi-functional teams:
- Works collaboratively with internal partners define and prioritize business needs, translating them into specific questions with clear business impact.
- Identifies solutions that are appropriate to address business issue; interpret research findings and synthesize into actionable business insights and recommendations.
- Demonstrates agility in managing multiple priorities and projects in a complex environment.
- Manages relevant IT tools as required, managing data uploads, accessibility, training, communication and general support.
- Collaborate with teams to automate processes to analyze data and reporting
- Oversee the delivery of insightful data visualizations with intuitive user interfaces
- Champion the development and deliver training to enhance the visualization skills of team members
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING
- 5+ years of consumer insights experience in a CPG environment.
- Strong influencing skills, and ability to work effectively with all levels of business team management.
- Ability to coach others and build organizational talent relative to data and analytics and strategic thought.
- Strong analytical skills - familiar and able to analyze retail sales and other Nielsen data.
- Proven ability in translating data to actionable recommendations.
- Proven ability to integrate data from different data sources to provide clarity and direction to multi-functional team.
- Experience working with relational databases.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience in Advanced Data Analytics tools and languages a plus; Azure, SQL, R, Python, etc.
- Undergraduate degree. MBA preferred.
