About the position:
The North Americas Payroll Manager will oversee US & Canada payrolls, ensuring accurate and timely semimonthly processing, reconciliation, and reporting aligned with best practices and compliance. This role will actively lead and participate in implementation projects & improvement initiatives to harmonize and streamline the payroll process.

What you can expect to do:

- Manage day-to-day activities and oversight of North America’s payroll processing teams to ensure best practices aligned with Sarbanes - Oxley “SOX” payroll controls.
- Lead and advise on North America’s payroll implementation and setup, including vendor system configuration, payroll requirements, and General Ledger reporting.
- Oversight of payroll tax and tax compliance for the US and Canada, including federal, state, province, and local tax registrations and filing, including W2 and T4 processing.
- Provide service as the North American payroll subject matter expert to all internal partners and stakeholders.
- Mentor, build, inspire, and train NA payroll processing team members.
- Serve as the team expert to assist and resolve NA payroll matters for employees, internal and external partners, and stakeholders.Â
- Monitor vendor payroll processing and compliance activities, and review outputs for completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor and ensure all NA payroll tax calculations and filings are completed and reconciled on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Approve funding of payroll, payroll taxes, and third-party payments as applicable.Â
- Oversight on delivery of data/reports to internal teams (HR, Finance, third parties, statutory) on an accurate and timely basis.Â
- Communicate regularly with the Senior Americas Payroll Manager and Senior Director of Global Payroll on internal project status, in-country provider service, and metrics.Â
What we are looking for:
- Degree in Business, Finance, or related disciplines or equivalent in work experience
- Minimum 7 years of payroll experience in US and Canada
- Experience in third-party platforms such as ADP and Workday.
- Intermediate to Advanced skill level in Excel & PowerPoint
- ADP Workforce Now implementation and processing experience
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of data.Â
- Excellent command of English Language (both written and verbal)Â
- Proficient time management skills with a strong sense of urgency.
- Flexibility to manage multiple time zones and requirements for a global remote workforce.Â
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative personality.Â
 Compensation
The annual gross base salary range for this position is 95,000 to 118,000.  Actual compensation for this position may vary and will depend on multiple factors including relevant qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus dependent on various factors, including and without limitation, individual and company performance in addition to base salary.
