Summary:

The Manager of Instructional Design directs and provides oversight and development of training delivery activities for all of Customer Care. This position builds the strategic plan required to fulfill all operational requirements for job specific training delivery. This individual will lead the instructional design function, recommending effective training curriculum, making informed decisions regarding the call center training program, including courses and content, design, employee development programs, and learning from the quality program.

Essential Accountabilities:

• Regularly assesses training needs, development of seminars, training programs and courses, and evaluation of the effectiveness of training.

• Creates and implements strategic plans for Customer Care instructional design, knowledge management and documentation.

• Collaborates with the evaluation of managerial and executive development programs to identify programs, which meet the needs of the individuals within the company and the ongoing requirements of training programs being developed.

• Ensures training is in compliance with all relevant legislative and regulatory mandates and endures that all activities meet these requirements, including member privacy.

• Directs the planning, development, implementation, and training of process improvements and/or arranging necessary training to the training department staff.

• Establishes common and consistent practices required due to the implementation of new products, new business systems, and/or merged processes.

• Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.

• Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.

• Conducts periodic staff meetings to include timely distribution and education related to departmental and Ethics/Compliance information.

• Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.

• Performs other functions as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of eleven (11) years of progressive experience in a health care field, two (2) of which must be in a defined leadership role or a bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years in developing and administering training and development programs required.

• Minimum of two (2) years of progressive management experience with strong technical and operational background required.

• Prior experience supervising or managing people and/or projects or indirectly leading teams.

• Ability to mentor across diverse personalities, cultures, and backgrounds.

• Ability to train across curriculums and learning methods.

• Positive attitude and highly effective oral and written communication skills required. Must be capable of establishing effective relationships with key customers.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.

• Ability to work in a home office for continuous periods of time for business continuity.

• Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meeting and/or trainings as needed.3

Minimum: 70,200 - Maximum: $130,300

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's minimum qualifications, in additional to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of Excellus's total rewards package.
