Director, North America Engineering Specification

The Manager of Specifications will have the following responsibilities:

• Drive specification sales across new construction, renovation projects and large-retail accounts
• Create and Deliver CEU courses for Architect and Engineer roles
• Develop Spec relationships across AE and EE disciplines with focus on top 10 national accounts
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities via outreach & enablement of AEC firms
• Align with existing ChargePoint sales teams (regional AEs, Channel Verticals, Distribution, Partners, etc.) through technical expertise and a high level of customer service
• Represent ChargePoint at Industry trade organizations and networking events
• Become a technical expert on ChargePoint products (SW & HW features & benefits) for our specification customers, end-users and trade partners
• Utilize ConstructConnect, BSD SpecLink and other platforms to identify and engage major players in the construction industry.
• Identify top Spec writers across the country and develop plan to engage in trainings/informational events to increase their ChargePoint product knowledge

• Bachelor’s Degree (technical or engineering degree preferred)
• 8+ years Specification Sales or Specification experience
• Self starter, driven and motivated individual who would thrive in both technical or sales role
• Passion for Sales, working with design community and understand the construction sales cycle
• Demonstrated ability to learn technical products, features, and explain benefits
• Experience solving complex problems within a team environment
• Prior architectural, product, or EVSE design experience preferred
• Must have a collaborative mentality, and a desire to work closely with cross-functional teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• US Remote

The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $69,750 to $119,250. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
