Job Description

The Manager of Treasury & Credit is responsible for managing the daily cash position, including timely borrowings and payments, managing credit arrangements with counterparties as well as credit worthiness of customers.  This role manages the monitoring of our existing credit facility and works with the FP&A team to ensure that covenant reporting meets its requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Treasury

  • Ensures liquidity by forecasting daily cash requirements and credit facility needs
  • Manage daily cash activity for all bank accounts for the business to ensure payment obligations and timelines are met
  • Manage security, internal controls, and approval processes to safeguard cash transactions
  • Ensure full compliance with credit agreement.
  • Manage collateral arrangements (PGs, LCs, deposits, etc.) with counterparties.
  • Maintain banking relationships and general account administration.
  • Manage and optimize treasury costs and negotiate banking service fees
  • Manage all cash management functions including wires, account funding.
  • Ensure adequate liquidity for working capital needs and invest short term excess cash.
  • Forecast interest expense and income.
  • Oversee cash management banking and financial institution relationships.

Credit

  • Direct credit reviews and decisions for all new large commercial and industrial customers.
  • Lead and recommend residential and small commercial credit standards.
  • Monitors and analyzes credit quality of wholesale counterparties and large industrial on an annual review.
  • Monitor and report on company’s credit availability with counterparties daily.
  • Manage customer collateral arrangements (PGs, LCs, deposits, etc.) with counterparties and large customers.
  • Manage credit insurance and other vendor relationships, ensuring the best collateral decision is made for the company and customer.
  • Manage Credit Management Policy and provide business updates as economics change.

Insights & Analysis

  • Leverages data, customer insights, and competitive/market research to identify and prioritize areas of opportunity where changes to technology, processes and business rules would increase long-term profitability
  • Pro-active validation and management of collateral arrangements and minimizing financing costs across the company.

Education/Knowledge Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years leading a team responsible for Treasury and/or Credit functions
  • Strong competencies in the areas of organization, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of data visualization software like Power BI and high knowledge in Excel
  • Strong understanding of GAAP financial statements.
  • Thinking big picture across the functional areas of a business
  • Challenging the status quo to offer creative solutions that solve problems and address challenges.
  • Ability to incorporate multiple perspectives and variables to analyze issues to reach a recommendation
  • Having a hands-on approach with the ability to transition from strategic thinking to tactical execution
  • Experience managing vendor relationships effectively
