Manager, Platform Engineering

Title: Manager, Platform Engineering
Location: Remote 
Reports To: VP, Foundation and Platform Engineering

We are looking for an experienced engineering leader to join us in leading and growing our Platform Engineering team at LTK. As a Platform Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of platform engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize the performance, reliability, security and scalability of our platform, making sure every component is running at its peak. 

In this role, you will

• Drive the vision and strategy for our Platform Engineering solutions
• Take an active role in hiring, goal setting, performance management, Promotions, and driving retention strategies across your team
• Empower, challenge, and coach a team of senior engineers to grow their impact as individual technical leaders by providing them with context and continuous feedback
• Effectively prioritize and manage our engineering roadmaps in alignment with our product roadmap
• Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships across Platform Engineering partners and customers throughout engineering
• Define, document and build golden paths for teams to build services in a scalable, secure way
• Work with teams across the company to gather requirements, support and drive projects forward
• Partner with Senior Management to identify appropriate metrics for monitoring team’s performance

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience, leading/standing up a Platform Engineering Function
• 5+ years demonstrated experience shipping commercial products and services, preferably in Go.
• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred)
• Experience writing code in two out of three languages: Go, Python, Javascript,C++
• Experience building and operating services on Kubernetes

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience building developer platforms/frameworks (Backstage.io, Cortex, Humanitec, score.dev, etc) for companies past the start-up stage.
• Full-stack development experience (Typescript/React, Backend Services, Storage)
• Experience Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, system monitors, and log aggregation services
