Manager, Revenue

We are looking for a Manager of Revenue. As a Manager of Revenue, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team whose mission is to lead IonQ on its journey to build the world’s best quantum computers to solve the world’s most complex problems. 

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Manager of Revenue will be responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of all revenue transactions related to the Company’s service offerings in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This high-profile role will be responsible for partnering with sales, legal, FP&A, and the product development teams, allowing the individual to gain meaningful insights into a rapidly growing quantum computing company. A successful candidate will be able to apply technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills, be a strategic thinker, and have strong organization and communication skills. 

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with several departments to draft domestic and international contracts
• Analyze new contracting opportunities to determine anticipated impact on revenue recognition
• Review executed customer arrangements for proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and U.S. GAAP
• Write technical revenue accounting memos and maintain the company’s revenue recognition accounting policy
• Lead monthly and quarterly close activities for revenue and accounts receivable
• Ensure revenue recognition processes are SOX compliant
• Assist with the preparation of the company’s consolidated financial statements, including MD&A for revenue results of operations
• Support the external quarterly reviews and year end audit

You’d be a good fit with: 

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance 
• CPA required
• 7+ years of progressive experience
• In-depth understanding and knowledge of up-to-date U.S. GAAP
• Demonstrated ability to logically, concisely, and effectively communicate to cross-functional audiences at all levels including the executive level
• Proven ability to work effectively, delivering accurate results under tight deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
