Manager, Sales (Western United States) - REMOTE
Job Description
Reporting to the VP of Global Software Sales, you will challenged with development and performance of all software sales activities in assigned Western U.S. territories. Leads a team (trains, hires) and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and growth.
- Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability through direct selling of software and services.
- Responsible for the performance and development of the assigned North American regional sales executives.
- Responsible for the Team achievement of the Regional quarterly and annual quota.
- Responsible for the health and growth of the Regional sales pipeline.
- Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
- Takes an active role in supporting Sales and Legal in contract negotiations.
- Initiates and coordinates development of plans to penetrate new markets.
- Makes forecasts on anticipated market sales.
- Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospects submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
- Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses as required, and assists sales executives as needed.
- Recruits, hires, trains and coaches sales executives for maximum performance.
- Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales and activity reports submitted by sales executives.
- Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist in promoting sales.
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company.
- Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales.
- Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Works closely with company personnel to ensure prompt service to customers.
- Keeps informed on company contract procedures and pricing.
- Knowledge of MillerHeiman or Strategic Selling a plus
- Knowledge of Power Messaging a plus
- 5-7 years of experience in enterprise sales management
- 5 or more years selling enterprise SaaS solutions
- Experience selling P2P and/or supply chain software solutions to enterprise companies
