Job Description

 Ibotta is seeking a Manager, Strategic Accounting Projects to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. This CPA required role will play a key part in driving the success of our business by leading and overseeing critical accounting projects that align with our strategic goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide financial expertise, and drive process improvements. This role is pivotal in enhancing our financial efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office. The specified high value hybrid days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and execute the company's strategic accounting initiatives in alignment with corporate goals and regulatory changes.

  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for process optimization.

  • Continuously assess and improve accounting processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Identify and mitigate accounting and financial risks, and develop strategies to safeguard financial assets.

  • Collaborate with external auditors and support audit processes to ensure compliance and transparency.

  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives as directed by senior management.

What we are looking for:

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.

  • CPA required.

  • Strong GAAP research skills, internal controls and SOX compliance experience.

  • Technical Skills: Intermediate excel skills and NetSuite, SAP or Oracle experience preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.

  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Ability and willingness to meet critical business deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
