We are seeking a seasoned and strategic HR leader to oversee employee relations and strengthen the overall staff experience. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders, guiding them through workplace conflicts, policy compliance, and performance management, while fostering a safe and inclusive environment. You will lead complex investigations, mediate sensitive issues, and provide actionable insights from data to improve organizational culture. This position also involves developing and implementing systems to track employee grievances and enhance HR processes. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on expertise with strategic thinking, serving as both a specialist and mentor across teams. Success in this role requires balancing operational excellence with a deep commitment to employee engagement and organizational values.
Accountabilities:
- Serve as a subject-matter expert and consultant on employee relations matters, including coaching leaders and resolving workplace conflicts.
- Lead complex investigations, mediations, and restorative conversations to address policy breaches or performance concerns.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to analyze trends in grievances, policy violations, and staff experience metrics.
- Partner with Legal, Risk, and People teams to ensure HR policies and procedures are compliant with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain meticulous case management, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of employee relations issues.
- Support the evolution of Employee Relations systems and tools, improving workflow, training, and documentation processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to provide project management support, ensure prioritized initiatives have the necessary resources, and maintain flexible alignment with organizational needs.
- Minimum of 7 years of HR experience, with a focus on Employee Relations, consulting, or HR generalist roles.
- Proven expertise managing complex employee relations cases, including investigations, interviews, and reporting.
- Experience coaching and counseling leaders on workplace issues and performance management.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, compliance requirements, and employment law.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations to improve staff experience.
- Experience using HRIS platforms, such as Workday, and other digital tools to enhance HR processes.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Preferred: certification in conflict management, employee relations, or workplace investigations, and prior experience leading teams and driving strategy in Employee Relations.
