Job Description
The Manual QA Engineer role will be a critical role in maintaining and ensuring quality for the Seamless.AI product. The role will be seen as a leader within the QA team, responsible for ensuring the quality of the product is top of mind for all key stakeholders. This role will also be responsible for being the voice of quality, ensuring anything that could impact product quality and performance is evaluated and considered when decisions are being made.Â

Role Responsibilities- Assist in organizing the work intake for the QA Team
- Manage bug intake for the product and ensure all bugs are reviewed and prioritized
- Work with the product team to get accurate estimations for incoming work related to QA / testing
- Develop manual test scripts for product features and updates
- Work with cross-functional teams to run end to end test scenarios
- Understand risk related to product quality and help the PM team define product requirements to avoid quality issues
- Perform manual testing efforts for all assigned product updatesÂ
- Be SME for manual QA for all departments and other engineering team members, including lower level QA members
- Be a leader in product domain knowledge to communicate product expectations, functionality and any existing quality issues to the team
- Provide input for settings testing standards, review the existing framework for adherence
- Analyze new features; estimate and develop the manual testing strategy; design, implement and execute the manual tests
- Communicate with developers and product managers to understand system requirements related to testing needs
- Assist in creating and maintaining a testing pipeline
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Candidate Requirements
- Possess 3-5 years of experience in software testing
- Ability to be work in a fast pace environment
- Strong understanding of Agile and Kanban product methodology
- Ability to coordinate with a cross-functional team
- Ability to clearly communicate quality assurance standards, questions, concerns or anything else related to QA processes
- Strong understanding of manual test case development and execution
- Deep knowledge in SaaS, software or a related digital fields
- Experience with JIRA or similar product and project management software
- Experience with manual test case management software is ideal
- Expert-level attention to detail
- Ability to “challenge” leadership related to decisions that could impact product quality and standardsÂ
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
