You will join a team developing a state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around it.

As a Quality Assurance/Quality Inspector at Apptronik, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes for electronic and mechanical assembly. You will be responsible for inspecting products at various stages of production, identifying defects or deviations from specifications, and implementing corrective actions to maintain excellence in our final products. The qualified candidate will promote a culture of quality awareness and adherence to new & established procedures. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Inspection and Testing: 
    • Conduct thorough inspections of electronic and mechanical components at different production and/or assembly stages. 
    • Utilize various testing equipment and tools to assess product quality and performance. Including but not limited to multimeters, micrometers, gauges, CMM. 
    • Verify that products meet defined specifications, standards, and customer requirements. 
  • Documenting and Reporting: 
    • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality issues. 
    • Generate comprehensive reports on quality metrics, defect rates, and improvement recommendations. 
    • Communicate findings to relevant departments and collaborate on corrective actions. 
  • Root Cause Analysis: 
    • Investigate and determine the root causes of quality issues and defects. 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions. 
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality processes. 
  • Process Audits: 
    • Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards. 
    • Identify areas for process improvement and work with teams to implement enhancements. 
  • Supplier Quality Management: 
    • Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials. 
    • Perform audits and assessments of suppliers to ensure compliance with quality requirements. 
  • Regulatory Compliance: 
    • Stay abreast of industry regulations and quality standards applicable to electronic and mechanical assembly. 
    • Ensure that the company's quality management system aligns with regulatory requirements. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate Quality experience 
  • Proven experience in quality assurance/inspection within electronics and mechanical assembly manufacturing. 
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and quality management systems. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. 
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector). 
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies. 
  • Experience with electronic testing equipment and measurement tools.
