Job description
Overview:
The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the hands-on manufacturing and assembly of instruments, including building assemblies, sub-assemblies, and parts used to produce synthetic oligonucleotides, DNA, RNA, and peptides. This is not a laboratory position. The role requires electro-mechanical skills, the ability to use hand, power, and machinist tools, and a commitment to safety, high quality, and on-time deliverables while adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Assemble and manufacture instruments, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and parts.
2. Test all instruments, sub-assemblies, and parts to ensure functionality and quality prior to shipment.
3. Conduct quality control inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
4. Troubleshoot issues related to chemical, electrical, or mechanical problems.
5. Manufacture and modify parts using power and machining tools.
6. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, prioritizing safety in all tasks.
7. Ensure high-quality work is delivered on time.
8. Provide feedback for improving manufacturing and testing documentation.
9. Assist other departments as needed.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent experience.
· Strong organizational and communication skills.
· Knowledge of biochemistry, biology, or life sciences (preferred).
· Proficiency in PC and Mac software and hardware.
· Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Experience with life sciences instrumentation, especially DNA and peptide synthesizer technology (a plus).
· Verbal and written fluency in English.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in the biotechnology industry (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
