As a Market Manager, you will be responsible for strategically driving growth and profitability of the assigned market segment by collaborating closely with C1 Product Managers, Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Suppliers to assure that C1 is viewed as the most innovative, dynamic, and dependable partner in the industry. In this role you will create value for customers by aligning manufacturing processes, products and technologies and company objectives. To be successful, you will need to possess a deep understanding of market and technology offerings that enable effective communication of information, business analysis, and necessary support to internal and external stakeholders.
How will you impact our organization on a daily basis?
- Develop and execute a business plan that enables C1 to be recognized as the premier partner for Customers and Suppliers in the market.
- Assure market business plans and tactics are developed to support Product Marketing, while collaborating with internal stakeholders to effectively execute strategic plan.
- Recommend pricing strategies which will result in enhanced profitability and the greatest share of the market over time.
- Maintain, develop, and enhance key Customer and Supplier relationships and overall market knowledge to drive revenue and margin growth while meeting Customer needs.
- Understand key Supplier's products and strategies to position C1 to capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Routinely examine portfolio to identify gaps, redundancy, and rationalization opportunities and make recommendations to Product Managers, Suppliers, Supply Chain Managers and Sales Managers to optimize overall product line.
- Monitor and analyze global market trends and collaborate with Product Managers and Suppliers to assure Customer needs can be met.
- Partner with Product Managers, Customers, Suppliers and C1 Operations to optimize logistics and product flow to reduce costs and improve profitability for all parties.
- Facilitate field personnel access to product information necessary to enhance Customer responsiveness within the market.
- Routinely visit key Customers with Sellers to provide updated market information, product information and to understand Customer needs.
- Ensure all Customer touch points have key and up to date product information, full knowledge of product strategies and training and other materials necessary to develop market opportunities.
- Attend and participate in market related trade shows and partner with associations to provide support for our sales team andcustomers in their efforts to expand their business.
- Routinely research, analyze and monitor markets to capitalize on market growth opportunities and to minimize the effects of competitive activity.
- Transform market data into useful information that can be effectively communicated as needed to key internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Communications Skills:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Technical, Business Development, business-to-business marketing and/or a Composites or Chemical engineering role focused on power generation is required.
- A proven track record of business development or related commercial success and technical skills is desired for this position.
- Composites industry experience is a significant plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Composites or Chemical Engineering or related industries is required.
- Must be proficient in MS Office software, including Word and Excel; requires ability to learn internal database and software systems, i.e., MXP, SAP.
- Experience with MS Office programs and applications preferred.
- Must be able to travel up to 70%.
- Ability to use diverse tools, tactics and techniques to support the Commercial Team to drive growth.
- Ability to learn and understand specific supplier products, processes, and strategies to best serve our customers.
- Ability to communicate a strong sense of urgency in solving problems and getting work done.
- Ensure time, resources and actions are focused on priorities that contribute to meeting business goals and objectives.
