This role is part of the Enterprise Applications group under the office of the CIO. It is responsible for the delivery of Marketing Technology solutions for Akamai's internal stakeholders.

Transform the Business

The Marketing Business Technology Partner is a Director level position representing a business focused Technology leader. It is responsible for serving as the interface between Marketing and Information Technology. This individual supports strategic program delivery by influencing strategy with knowledge of business and technology markets. The role translates business needs into effective projects and managing relationships across the organization.

As a Marketing - Business Technology Partner, you will be responsible for:

• Having expertise on best practices for Marketing and technologies to recommend and drive strategy for the business and users
• Building exceptional relationships with Business and IT stakeholders and maintaining an inclusive and growth minded culture
• Collaborating with functional leaders in Marketing to develop and refine business strategy and technology direction
• Influencing and evolving Marketing's tech strategy and roadmap to meet objectives by understanding priorities and market trends
• Facilitating intake and managing strategic business demand and aligning with IT governance forums for approval, prioritization, and capacity needs
• Overseeing, monitoring, and supporting large technology programs to ensure effective governance and realization of optimal business value
• Collaborating with business stakeholders to define and track metrics and ensure IT services are delivered as expected
• Collaborating with technology stakeholders and delivery teams across the enterprise to meet expectations on behalf of Marketing

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 12 years experience in Hi-tech industry and Bachelor's degree or its equivalent (CBRM or MBRM ideal)
• Have experience as a BRPM and domain knowledge and experience overseeing the Awareness to Lead business process
• Be able to work with stakeholders to understand objectives, help develop strategies, and prioritize the technology portfolio
• Have implementation and/or domain experience working with Marketing Automation, CDP, CRM applications, Marketing Attribution software, etc
• Possess executive presence and ability to manage BRM practices and partnerships with leaders, stakeholders and vendors
• Have good presentation skills, negotiation techniques, ability to educate others about complex technologies, and exercise tactical empathy

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $149,122 - $238,744/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
