The Asia, Pacific & Latin America Marketing Science team focuses on decoding consumer signals to reveal measurable marketing, media & membership program insights to optimize reach, power personal relevance and build long-term consumer connections across paid & owned channels - all while obsessing how we make our dollars go further. The team reads & reacts to consumer signals, partners to optimize impact through marketing & content testing, and enables personalized experiences through the application of advanced audience segmentation, targeting & personalization capabilities.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The Marketing Science Insights Manager drives analytic insights around the three growth principles at Nike; Data-driven decisions, Consumer Direct Offense, and leading with APLA. The focus will be Marketing Science and how our content and communications affect our consumer behaviors. The ideal candidate is passionate about consumer insights and the science of marketing analytics. They are adept at turning large volumes of data into simple insights and recommended actions. They thrive working with multiple marketing partners and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in analytics and modern digital marketing tools along with superb teamwork and good communication skills are essential to this role.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
Your day-to-day work will involve being a "data detective" and consumer advocate for our Digital Business. You'll work with key marketing partners to deeply understand their business strategies and priorities, actively finding opportunities where research, analytics, and personalization can most powerfully impact consumer experiences and drive internal decision-making. Typical tasks include:
  • Analyzing and using data to optimize content for our consumers incorporating a wide variety of signals, data types, and sources
  • Creating learning agendas focusing on applying advanced analytics and experimental design (A/B and multivariate testing) to answer strategic questions about consumer behavior and engagement across Nike digital experiences and communication channels
  • Driving data-directed audience selection, targeting, and segmentation strategies in partnership with marketing leaders
  • Communicating action-orientated insights to the business to inform marketing strategies through qualitative/quantitative synthesis and compelling/visual storytelling

You'll deliver solutions and education to empower self-service analytics; as well as drive scalable and sustainable impact from the organization's analytical capabilities.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
You will sit within the APLA Consumer Insights & Analytics function and serve as an APLA Nike Marketing Science expert, reporting to the Director of APLA Marketing & Membership Science. You'll partner with Nike Marketing leaders, to help them build, deliver, & optimize a world-class personalized marketing content for the Nike consumer in APLA. You'll also partner closely with multi-functional analytics team to create and implement scalable insights to drive consumer engagement and growth in Asia, Pacific, & Latin America

WHAT YOU WILL BRING?
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, statistics, computer science, econometrics, applied math, or a quantitative behavioral sciences field preferred or a combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • 3+ years of experience doing quantitative analysis on digital experiences and communication channels
  • Fluency in SQL (Hive) or similar experience in analyzing large structured and unstructured datasets
  • An understanding of advanced analytics techniques; competency with statistical packages such as R, or Python
  • Knowledge of standard methodologies & current trends in digital marketing communication and CRM strategy for retail, digital commerce, or mobile apps preferred
  • Ability to use analytics to understand digital consumer behaviors and find opportunities to accelerate growth
  • Adept at creative storytelling using data-driven insights, and ability to bring sophisticated consumer data to life for marketing and business partners
  • Experience building positive working relationships and working successfully in multi-functional teams with varying levels of understanding of analytics
  • A clear understanding of Digital Marketing metrics, Online Commerce KPIs and ROI, sales attribution models, and omnichannel analytics
  • Experience in designing end-to-end testing (A/B and multivariate), research, and analytics plans via working with key partners to identify opportunities
