About the team
The Yahoo Legal Department's Ad Law & Policy, Trust & Safety team is at the center of cutting-edge consumer and brand safety issues. The team is responsible for marketing and promotions law and consumer regulatory compliance issues, while also developing and implementing key company policies like our Ad Policies and Community Guidelines.
The Marketing Law Paralegal will be a team player with strong administrative and organizational skills who is able to spot marketing law issues and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for Yahoo's internal marketing legal review process, communicating with internal clients and helping to ensure that creative review requests are responded to in a timely fashion by the relevant in-house experts.
• Review marketing creatives and spot potential issues in collaboration with a cross-functional team of attorneys and paralegals.
• Draft official rules for sweepstakes and contests.
• Assist with legal research, training, and managing documentation of internal guidelines and processes.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in a marketing law or consumer protection-related field.
• Must be organized and process-oriented.
• Ability to work independently while developing strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders located in various offices.
• Must possess accurate proofreading and nuanced reading comprehension skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and on multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting quickly to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and often unpredictable environment with competing priorities.
• Must be highly detail-oriented and a self-starter with the ability to provide proactive and effective legal support with a dedication to accuracy and thoroughness in work product.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and research skills.
• Keen knowledge and interest in media and technology.
