This position can be based remotely in any of our approved hiring regions. Our hybrid distributed workforce philosophy allows us to find the best talent in the country and build diverse teams, while allowing our colleagues to work from the location that works best for them. For those who prefer to work in-office, we have locations in San Francisco and Pittsburgh. We also plan to use these spaces to bring together teammates to drive creativity and innovation.
This role is a mix of strategy, project management and technical execution – the ideal candidate is comfortable leading transformational initiatives, such as new software implementations, as well as tactical run-the-business enhancements. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and tenacious individual who is passionate about creating personalized customer journeys and helping the Marketing team utilize our database to drive more revenue.
You’ll be successful if you have hands-on experience in solution design, system administration, lead management, marketing measurement, data insights and email/engagement production throughout the demand funnel.
This role reports to the Director of Growth & Marketing Operations, and is perfect for someone with aspirations of leading a Marketing Operations team in the next couple years.
Responsibilities
- Strategy: Consult with the Brand and Product Marketing teams to ensure maximum impact from time & resources; from audience selection to list building to ensuring proper UTM tracking is in place.
- Execution: Implementing Marketing Automation best practices using Marketo and additional marketing technology systems (webinar/survey/etc). We currently have 1 nurture, 1 evergreen weekly webinar, and send 4-6 batch emails per month. There is a desire to expand with better segmentation.
- Reporting: Partner with the Senior Marketing Analyst and channel owners to establish a weekly/monthly reporting cadence to optimize efforts and share learnings.
- Referral Program Management: Lead a high-impact project to transition from a custom-built solution to a third-party software, then work with the Brand team to continually optimize the program.
- Collaboration - Partner with operational counterparts in Engineering and Sales and promote and prioritize joint initiatives. Shared goals and strong relationship building will play significant roles in overall success!
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience with Marketo and Salesforce (certifications a plus).
- 5+ years experience managing Marketing campaigns or working in any department to conduct business process improvement projects.
- Must be comfortable using data visualization tools, like Tableau, to create new charts/graphs and answer business questions using existing data sets (ability to write SQL queries is a plus, but not required).
- Someone who seeks initiative: Volunteers readily, undertakes self-development activities, seeks increased responsibilities, takes independent actions and calculated risks.
- Strong analytical skills. Ability to build, analyze and report operational metrics.
- Good organizational agility, command skills and interpersonal ability to work effectively within a geographically dispersed, multi-functional team.
- Strong written and verbal communicator, ability to summarize and present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience driving projects from start-to-finish, even when faced with deep complexity and ambiguity.
- Natural problem solver who makes things happen and works well with others to build constructive and effective relationships.
- Ideally, has worked in financial services, FinTech, or another regulated industry with an understanding of the Legal and Compliance boundaries.
- Bonus points for experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and CDP Platforms (Segment/Heap). We will be making investments in our digital analytics capabilities, so you can either participate or ride along to learn.
