JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our Neuromodulation business is an area of expertise for Abbott. This business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders.
We believe neuromodulation is the future of treating chronic disease.
For people living with chronic pain and movement disorders, our portfolio of therapies help them move and feel better, allowing chronic pain patients to reduce or stabilize the long-term use of opioids and get back to living their lives, while helping patients with movement disorders combat the symptoms of their condition.
We offer specialized devices for people suffering from chronic pain and movement disorders through solutions that deliver stimulation to the spinal cord, dorsal root ganglion and the brain.
- Our Proclaim series includes devices designed to deliver spinal cord stimulation (SCS) for the treatment of chronic pain, and dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation for patients seeking relief from causalgia - nerve pain following surgery or injury - and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).
- Our Infinity Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) system sends mild pulses of electricity to the brain, alleviating symptoms of Parkinson's disease and essential tremor.
Our location in Austin or Plano, TX currently has an opportunity for a Marketing Specialist - Neuromodulation. This position is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of marketing communications for assigned products.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage agencies and outside vendors to produce work within brand standards and consistent with product labeling and messaging.
- Interface with multiple departments within the division; build relationships and ensure global communication needs are taken into account.
- Utilize technologies to collect, clean, analyze, predict, and effectively communicate information.
- Works with stakeholders to define business questions, requirements, timelines, objectives.
- Analyze data, draw insights, and present results in a cohesive, intuitive, and simplistic manner to the business.
- Support materials, maintain adequate inventory to support internal and external customers. Determine reorder quantities and schedules.
- Manage and assure timely, efficient and professional distribution of materials internally and externally.
- Transfer working art files to vendors and internal stakeholders
- Oversee launch material inventory and kit assembly and distribution.
- Manage print production and management of new materials.
- Provide materials for internal review to stakeholders
- Supports Marketing communications department
- Creation of and updates to PowerPoint presentations.
- Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), and CMS systems.
- Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
- Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Operate high-speed production equipment
- Maintain inventory of packaging materials
- Complete work order documentation
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Required
- Bachelors Degree in business, marketing or related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 3+ work experience in Marketing Communications.
- Excellent use of MS Office including PowerPoint and Excel software.
- Experience working with PC and MAC platforms.
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent proof reading skills.

- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects
