Business Development, Industrial IoT Markets
swXtch.io is looking for a driven, motivated candidate to join our Sales team. In a Business Development role, you will be responsible for assisting our senior team with driving market insight, revenue, and relationships. This includes developing and executing a selling strategy for cultivating partners and targeting end-users; managing inbound leads and demand; identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities in our target markets; uncovering market requirements and actively contributing to evolving our strategy; and cultivating those relationships in collaboration with Solutions Architects to ensure long-term customer success. This role will also serve as a swXtch evangelist at external events such as tradeshows/conferences.
This role focuses specifically on developing swXtch.io’s presence in the Industrial IoT (IIoT) sector, which includes markets outside of financial services, media, and telecommunication. In addition, the swXtch.io team has prioritized use-cases in several specific IIoT markets, including manufacturing (smart factory), electric power, healthcare, and transportation/logistics. IIoT focuses on combining hardware, software, and services to enable real-time and automated data gathering, communication, monitoring, and analysis. The goal of IIoT is to improve operational processes, product development, and product lifecycle management.
Primary partners in the IIoT sector include middleware providers, major cloud datacenters, and system integrators that are focused on cloud migrations, primarily involving real-time, high-performance, or high packet-rate workloads. Customers include middleware software vendors and end-users.
This position is best suited for a highly collaborative, team-oriented individual who is passionate about building a market for enterprise software solutions. You will work directly with cloud vendors, channel partners and end customers to grow the swXtch.io business as well as cross functionally with swXtch.io’s business development, product, and technology teams.
This role is remote and will require travel.

What You'll Do:
- Source new sales opportunities through creative outbound prospecting and inbound lead generation
- Execute a sales prospecting plan to penetrate target accounts and capture significant market share within your territory
- Build relationships with key decision makers across all accounts
- Effectively deliver product demonstrations to prospects/customers to showcase the value of high-performance networking in cloud migrations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to prospects/customers to achieve desired business outcomes
- Drive customer opportunities to close in tight collaboration with Solutions Architects assigned to your territory and the Product and Engineering organizations
- Remain knowledgeable of swXtch.io's products/services to support prospect and customer needs
- Drive event attendance for webinars, trade shows/conferences, executive dinners, and other events
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual quotas once ramped
- Passionately support our commitment to creating an outstanding experience for our prospects and customers
- Use HubSpot to record all communication, events, and requirements for each lead, contact and account
- Work effectively with other team members and throughout the organization
You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or management discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years’ experience in technical product sales
- Eagerness to work in a collaborative team environment where you can make a meaningful contribution with your work

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The annual salary in total for this position is between $100,000 - $200,000 for this position. The actual total pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The annual base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for bonus and equity.
