Job Summary

The Middle Office Analyst will support all trade lifecycle events for F&G’s Hedging and Investment portfolios, as well as all daily production support related to this trade activity.  This role will also assist with trade settlement and payment confirmations and daily collateral call processing and reconciliation.

Organization

The Middle Office Analyst will support the Hedging and Investment operations of the firm and report to the Director, Middle Office and Treasury.

Duties and Responsibilities

Support all Hedging and Investment portfolio post-execution activities including, but not limited to:

  • Derivative trade, settlement, and payment confirmations
  • Daily collateral call processing and reconciliation
  • Assist with the quarterly valuation process for private placements and mortgage loans
  • Execution of internal asset transfers to support portfolio rebalancing
  • Custody account maintenance and reporting
  • Weekly monitoring of the asset pledging program and reporting on borrowing capacity
  • Ad-hoc analysis as it pertains to requests from internal stakeholders, asset managers, or external counterparties

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business.
  • 1-3 years’ relevant experience in hedging/investment operations, collateral management, or data management
  • Asset Management and/or Insurance experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of Fixed Income, Equity, and Derivative asset classes
  • Proficient with Microsoft office applications

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and efficiently communicate results and recommendations
  • Strong computer skills with an emphasis on financial analysis tools and Microsoft Office
  • Strong analysis and reporting abilities
  • Integrity, accountability, and creativity are required in this role
  • Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think ahead and conduct strategic planning.
  • Expertise and experience of improving processes and utilizing technology to improve efficiencies.
  • Self-directed individual who works well with teams.
