This strategic leadership role offers the opportunity to drive high-impact partnerships across major hospital systems, integrated delivery networks, and Group Purchasing Organizations within the healthcare industry. You will play a key role in expanding national account relationships, developing innovative sales strategies, and strengthening long-term business growth across a multi-state territory. Working closely with executive leadership, field sales teams, marketing, and operational stakeholders, you will help shape enterprise-level agreements that enhance customer value and improve patient outcomes. The position combines strategic account management, contract negotiation, and healthcare business development in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives focused on hospital systems, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs).
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with healthcare decision-makers, supply chain leaders, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and manage contractual agreements that support business growth, customer retention, and long-term partnership success.
  • Collaborate with field sales, operational leadership, and enterprise teams to drive regional and national growth initiatives.
  • Partner with marketing teams to develop compelling value propositions tailored to hospital and healthcare system needs.
  • Support the integration and coordination of products and services that strengthen competitive positioning within the healthcare market.
  • Monitor healthcare industry trends, market dynamics, and purchasing environments to identify new business opportunities.
  • Define performance metrics and reporting frameworks to measure the effectiveness of strategic account partnerships.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment between sales strategies, operational execution, and customer objectives.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to strengthen partnerships and support key client engagements.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in healthcare sales, business development, or GPO partnership management.
    • At least 3 years of senior-level leadership experience within the healthcare industry.
    • Demonstrated expertise negotiating contracts and managing relationships with hospital systems, IDNs, and GPO partners.
    • Strong understanding of complex healthcare systems, hospital purchasing environments, and healthcare market dynamics.
    • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and business development goals.
    • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills with C-level healthcare stakeholders.
    • Experience leading sales initiatives and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions for market challenges.
    • Ability to travel up to 50% based on business and client priorities.
