General Responsibilities:

As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing key accounts with specific focus on Best Buy to achieve profitable sales of the company's products to budgeted levels. NAMs are expected manage a minimum of $20M in annual gross sales and have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a relevant Sales position. The NAM will formulate annual and quarterly sales development strategies to increase market share within assigned accounts. Interface with other departments, including but not limited to product management, marketing, finance, planning, sustainability, customer advocacy, as needed to support customer accounts and resolve any issues that may arise. Candidates must have a proven track record of building strong customer relationships resulting in growing business and share.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate an ability to build key relationships within accounts.
  • Create strategies to maximize sell through, profit, revenue, and market share.
  • Understand how to communicate value propositions and close new business.
  • Formulate a sales plan to achieve sales and profit targets for current and prospective accounts.
  • Conduct and/or receive weekly reviews of sales, RMAs, returns & allowances (R&A), quotes, promotions, sell through, inventory management, forecasts, and other account activities that will impact financial results for the account(s).
  • Develop and negotiate terms and conditions for accounts to effectively manage overall profitability.
  • Analyze and understand industry market trends, competition, products, and pricing.
  • Conduct sales and training meetings as required.
  • Review and analyze daily sales results and compare actual v. projected / plan results.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Three to five years' experience selling into retail and/or ecommerce accounts.
  • Four-year degree preferred.
  • High degree of proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong financial literacy and financial management skills.
  • Ability to perform international and domestic travel.

The starting base salary for this position is:

$85,000

Factors such as geographic location, academic credentials, relevant experience, and specific knowledge, skills and abilities will influence the actual salary offered. In addition to a competitive market-based salary, compensation also includes a performance-based bonus, and in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
