Total Air Products / COIMA USA is a dynamic and rapidly growing national distributor of industrial ventilation equipment for the woodworking industry. We specialize in providing complex, often unique solutions tailored to our B2B customers' specific needs.
We are seeking a highly skilled and exceptionally reliable Accountant to become a cornerstone of our finance department. This is a pivotal role for a proactive and independent professional who thrives on ownership and process improvement. You will manage the full cycle of our company's cash management, reconciliations, and reporting within NetSuite. Crucially, you will be responsible for methodically managing all strategic accounting functions—including financial statement preparation, cash flow forecasting, and payroll—to build a fully self-sufficient and modern accounting function.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily review of bank accounts for all incoming electronic payments.
• Manage and execute core treasury functions, including weekly customer deposit processing and bi-weekly check runs.
• Conduct timely and accurate month-end reconciliations for all bank and credit card accounts.
• Own and manage the complete fixed asset schedule, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
• Preparation of a weekly cash flow forecast for management review.
• Overseeing the company's bi-weekly payroll, which is currently handled by a payroll admin.
• Execution of monthly reconciliations.
• Management of monthly and quarterly sales tax filing and compliance.
• Preparation of the complete monthly financial statement package (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement).
• Serve as the primary accounting point-of-contact as the company navigates an ongoing project to establish Nationwide Sales Tax Nexus Compliance, lead by the VP of Operations.
• Manage the existing accounting admin role, and provide recommendations for when the time comes to grow the department.
• Develop and meticulously document all accounting procedures as they are transitioned and refined.
Required Qualifications:
• Technical Skills: Demonstrated, hands-on expertise managing core accounting functions within the NetSuite platform.
• Professional Attributes: Unquestionable Integrity, Extreme Reliability, Proactive Self-Starter, Process-Oriented Mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with sales tax automation software (e.g., Avalara, Vertex, Tax Jar).
• Previous involvement in financial system or payroll migrations.
• Experience within the construction, distribution, or wholesale industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
