*This position qualifies for a hybrid work schedule - 3 days in the office and 2 days remote*

BASIC PURPOSE: The Network Engineer is part of a team with responsibility for designing, installing, and supporting Love's data network. The successful candidate will be involved in the support and operation of a wide variety of technologies including Data Center, WAN, Wireless, and Security.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supporting the Love's network operations in Data Center, Corporate, and Field environments.
• Configuration and management of hardware and software to ensure proper functioning of the various network services.
• Participate in planning and design of solutions to meet business and project requirements.
• Work with IT teams and customers to develop and understand requirements and ensure customer experience.
• Analyze and troubleshoot hardware and software platforms for various technologies
• Provide support for existing production network, including after normal business hours as needed.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with team members in areas of expertise
• Assist in the development of meaningful network metrics and performance base lines.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

EDUECATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience supporting enterprise networks
  • Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, VPN and Wireless networks
  • Very knowledgeable in the Cisco Command Language
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Good understanding of firewalls and application load balancers
  • Knowledgeable in the creation of automation scripts
  • Network certification, CCNA, Comptia is a plus
  • Experience with Science Logic monitoring is a plus
  • Familiar with Manage Engines NCM is a plus

  • Familiar with a scripting language, Python, Expect, etc.

• Typical Physical Demands:
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
