Summary of the role:

Manage IT infrastructure components.

In this role you'll:

• Installation, configuration, maintenance and support of all SUPPS Virtual and Physical infrastructure, Servers and related devices (ESXi, vCenter, SAN, etc) with heavy emphasis on customer support
• Supports application software and end user customer bases
• Monitors SUPPS infrastructure availability at all hours
• Troubleshooting production issues in a 24/7 environment
• Support at least one other area of the tech stack including virtualization, administration, storage, or operations center
• Manages network software and network security
• Manages all SUPPS Servers to include Patching, Security Configuration, User/Group Management, Active Directory (AD) Management, Backups, etc
• Strong knowledge of network concepts and protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, NAT, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.
• Strong knowledge of VMware Infrastructure and Storage configuration, setup, and best practices
• Strong knowledge of Windows® Server Administration including Active Directory, Security, Performance Monitoring & Configuration, Backups, etc
• Projects assigned by Airport Staff
• Opens a trouble ticket for each issue from the airport or Amadeus for SUPPS virtual and/or physical infrastructure: network, storage, VM's, VM templates, switch, router, etc.; Includes this ticket in the daily status report
• Opens a trouble ticket for every new airport or company request; Includes this ticket in the daily status report
• Creates the System Change Request (SCR) within SharePoint: Ensures that a trouble ticket is opened for this work and that it is updated through the SCR process.
• Uses Word to include production planning, backups, testing and fall back procedures for every production system change on the airport system for SUPPS virtual and/or physical infrastructure: network, storage, VM's, VM templates, switch, router, etc.
• Processes the SCR within SharePoint for every production system change on the airport system for SUPPS virtual and/or physical infrastructure: network, storage, VM's, VM templates, switch, router, etc.
• Makes no production changes without an approved SCR via the SharePoint process
• Provides daily status reports of all network issues, requests, and all other airport/Amadeus duties
• Creates or updates Visio network diagrams of all SUPPS virtual and/or physical infrastructure: network, storage, ESXi hosts, switch, router, etc.; Stores Visio diagrams on SharePoint under the airline directory. Notates Production changes in the daily status report
• Backs up and copies every switch, router, ESXi host, SAN, VM, etc. configurations to SharePoint under the airport directory for disaster recovery
• Documents and updates all access logins and passwords to all switches, routers, ESXi hosts, SAN/datastores, servers, etc. as needed, and stores on SharePoint
• Monthly system integrity checks performed during maintenance hours
• Bi-weekly preventative maintenance performed during maintenance hours
