US: Global Fulfillment and Logistics Network Inventory and Deployment Planner
Accountable for end to end inventory distribution across FBN network to support best in class customer experience and in stock rates for all finished goods for assigned categories. Working across our supply chain and closely with our procurement team to ensure there is a reliable supply of products to fulfill customer orders and escalating potential service risks to the business. Balancing the network inventory to respond to changes in forecast or other urgent business needs as they arise. Creation and management of TOs and escalating supply delays to the team and their impacts for orders that are critical for customers. Maintaining a target weeks of supply and safety stock levels that prevent stock outs while minimizing overall operational cost. This role will be a critical piece of scaling the FBN business and will require a continuous improvement mindset to better define processes for inventory planning and fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain target supply positions and tier designations for each item/location in the FBN network.
    • Ensure proper transactional integrity is happening in the ERP system and be a key stakeholder in working to improve future iterations of planning technology and systems.
    • Drive key service KPIs for the business such as Promise %, in stock rates, and Fulfillment Tier success rate.
    • Monitor forecast and order trends to ensure inventory is deployed effectively in response to demand fluctuations.
    • Working with procurement and supply chain teams to support spot purchases in the market and space requirements of those decisions.
    • Drive decisions for excess and slow moving inventory with the business.
    • Reconcile on hand inventory and cycle counts with our 3PLs and Netsuite data with the expectation of physical inventory counts during certain times of the year or as required.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Document, analyze, and map current processes and areas of improvement with the intention of eliminating or automating non value added steps.
    • Play an important role in designing and implementing the future state process for deployment planning and inventory management in the region.
    • Propose cost savings and productivity projects that help to reduce freight spend such as reducing redeployments and limiting the use of outside warehouses during peak season.
    • Run ad hoc analysis to help support decision making around customer service, space planning, and key inventory decisions.
  • Planning
    • Work with the procurement organization and across our supply chain to communicate needs of the business and escalate delays in supply and impacts to customers.
    • Participate in cross functional and seasonal sales meetings to ensure inventory plan is aligned to overall goals of the organization.
    • Be an active participant and contributor to the S&OP process with a specific focus on inventory KPIs mentioned above and working capital impacts of the plan each cycle.
    • Participate and help lead space and capacity planning meetings to proactively manage warehousing needs on longer time horizons.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of time

Experience and Education:
  • 3-5 years supply chain and inventory management experience with experience in a seasonal planning function
  • Lean Six Sigma (green belt or higher certification is a plus) and process improvement experience
  • NetSuite experience is a plus
  • Product planning experience preferred
  • Project management experience

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • American Production and Inventory Control Society, (APICS) & Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification or equivalent (Preferred)

The following represents FBN's reasonable estimate of the US national average base salary range of possible compensation for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $70,000 - $78,000.
This salary range may vary based on geography and variations in cost of labor. Beyond the above or adjusted to market salary range, FBN also offers all full-time employees competitive equity compensation, health and wellness benefits, and various perks.
