Nutrition Product Specialist

Opportunity

Our mission is to reverse chronic diseases and keep people healthy for life. We are looking for a Nutrition Product Specialist to join our Product team, reporting to the Director of Product Management. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring nutrition data quality along with developing evidence-based and user-centered content, including meal plans and recipes for people with various dietary requirements, health goals, and food preferences. You will also work closely with the Design, Operations, Engineering, Research, and Data Science teams. A portfolio of meal planning and recipe development would be helpful when applying for this role. A successful candidate for this role will be a tech savvy Registered Dietitian who is passionate about reversing chronic diseases. You will be excited to manage the nutrition database, work both independently and with your team, and be adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Work with a cross-functional team to maintain an organized and accurate nutrition database for foods, ingredients, and recipes
• Ensure meal plans and recipes comply with company’s Nutritional Guidelines
• Calculate accurate nutrition data and determine allergens for recipes
• Quality control- Ensure nutrition information is accurate across all platforms (nutrition database, app, and member education materials)
• Content creation- Create nutrition content for multiple chronic conditions using evidence-based research
• Support and customer service- Solve nutrition inquiries submitted regarding ingredients, nutrition database, meal plans, etc., and review customer feedback to help maintain customer satisfaction
• Special projects- Support special projects such as new product launches, new meal plan offerings, content development, etc.

Qualifications

• Valid, up-to-date registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the workforce as a Registered Dietitian
• Experience in nutrition analysis
• Experience working with a variety of special dietary needs (vegan, keto, diabetes-friendly) strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Project management skills
• Ability to be self-directed and effective working independently, yet equally comfortable contributing in a global team environment
• Open to working remotely (work-from-home)
• Previous experience with database work and project management, preferred but not required
