Full time Monday - Friday hours vary from 7am - 5pm
Work from home opportunity, with some onsite required throughout the year
Major Responsibilities:
- Receives and addresses inquiries from telephone, on-line, and on-site customers. Provides legally-sound and accurate employment information to internal and external customers.
- Performs and reviews pre-employment checks including references, licensure, criminal background and/or education verification's. Maintains applicant and criminal background check files following Advocate Aurora Health Record Retention guidelines.
- Responds to all questions/concerns from new hires, provides detail on orientation logistics, addresses barriers to avoid delays in start dates. Provides follow up of assigned cases from HR services.
- Maintains ongoing, positive collaboration with others in recruitment, employee health, payroll, hiring leaders, and HR partners to create lean, effective processes that minimize hand offs, delays, and errors.
- Collects and processes new team members hire paperwork prior to start date or within three days of start. Assists in ensuring government-mandated documents are complete according to the law (I-9 / E-verify, IDPH, etc.).
- Communicates with hiring leaders and recruiters about start dates, delays, and issues related to the new hire.
- May finalize employment offers to newly hired team members, sending confirmation emails with orientation information, and completing related system data entry. Provides additional follow up with new team members as needed.
- May provide interview scheduling support to Talent Acquisition team, maintain office supplies, or assist with recruitment events.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- High School Graduate.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 1 year of experience in a clerical or administrative support role.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills in providing superior customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Consistent in demonstrating a high degree of professionalism and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar products, and in navigating a database/system.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines and identify/solve problems creatively.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Exposed to a normal office environment.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk and bend/stoop frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
- Must have functional speech and hearing. Position requires extensive telephone work.
- Position may require evening or weekend assignments.
- Position may require local and regional travel and thus there is exposure to road and weather hazards.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
