Job Summary

Accountable for the facilitation and management of NRG's Contractor Management program across Plant Operations. Provide leadership and support to ensure contractor and work management initiatives are implemented across Plant Operations.

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities
  • Contractor Management
  • Drive and support NRG's Contractor Management (CM) program and processes to new and existing sites and vendors
  • Provide assistance and training as required to plant and contract personnel with use of the CM program and process
  • Coordinate the activities of all plant and contractor timekeepers to assure the CM tool functions properly at all times and to maintain the integrity of the data
  • Working with Supply Chain to manage labor, equipment and material rates and other charges within the CM tool to guarantee most up to date contractual compliance
  • Create and edit contractor schedules and pay formulas per business requirements
  • Manage and analyze the daily business processes and activity within the CM tool to confirm timesheet charges properly post in NRG's enterprise resource planning program
  • Manage user accounts, profiles and report filters as an administrator within the CM tool
  • Maintain appropriate documentation per Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Work with program support personnel and NRG IT to maintain and enhance CM tool functionality
  • Work with corporate and site security personnel to manage badging issues
  • Work Management
  • Provide support to plants for S/4 HANA issues relating to Work Management
  • Assist in training as required, typically for new users of S/4 HANA
  • Assist in Preventive Maintenance and backlog reviews with plant personnel
  • Implement strategies for continuous fleet wide maintenance planning and asset
  • reliability improvements, including process improvement, training and best practice

  • Identify and review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), determine where the gaps are,
  • and target/deploy corrective actions based on KPI gaps


Working Conditions
  • Remote with occasional plant or office visits
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours as necessary, especially during critical issue

  • Moderate level of travel outside of home office


Minimum Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Engineering or Business and3-5 years of experience in analytics, supply chain, engineering, or contractor management OR HS Diploma and 5-7 years of experience inanalytics, supply chain, engineering, or contractor management.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Energy Industry experience
  • Five years of power generation experience
  • Contractor management experience
  • BS or BA degree in a business or engineering field


Additional KSAs
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in communicating with large groups of peers or superiors
  • Reconciliation, analytical and critical thinking skills required
  • Works well under pressure, remaining focused and calm in the face of distractions and changing

  • Ability to work across organizations to improve processes and practices


Physical Requirements
  • Requires occasional travel to sites to perform duties and responsibilities
  • Required to constantly follow and use all appropriate personal protective equipment
