WSP is currently searching for an Oregon / SW Washington Senior Marketing Manager to join our Northwest Pacific District Strategic Growth Team. This position will be based in our Portland, Oregon office with opportunities to work across the District.

The Oregon / SW Washington Senior Marketing Manager is a key player in supporting our firm's continued growth through business development and marketing services excellence. Our ideal candidate will bring experience in the A/E/C or professional services industries and leadership of marketing teams. We are looking for someone that is collaborative, can influence and inspire others, and brings a deep understanding of pursuit leadership and proposal best practices. The Senior Marketing Manager works with district marketing leadership, business line and district management to drive successful pursuit and proposal and marketing activities across the geographical region. This position will lead a team of marketing professionals across the district providing mentoring, training and proactive problem solving to guide our team as market-best pursuit and proposal coordinators and managers.

Your Impact
  • Leads and maintains pursuit capture plans; works closely with Technical Champions to drive early pre-positioning and pursuit readiness efforts
  • Executes marketing efforts on large, complex pursuits. Participates and supports strategy workshops and technical sessions.
  • Oversees proposal activities, including leading proposal support staff teams, managing proposal schedules and deadlines, developing proposal outline, and working in partnership with the pursuit champion to monitor the progress of proposals
  • Collaborates with technical staff and writes/reviews/edits original content for clarity, compliance and key messages. Works with graphic design staff to plan and produce materials ensuring all proposal materials are effectively communicating the strategic vision identified for a given pursuit
  • Works with pursuit teams to develop pursuit strategies, including partnering with national resources to drive WSP's sales approach, providing business intelligence on clients, competitors and WSP
  • Organizes and facilitates pursuit strategy meetings
  • Leads pursuit teams during the presentation phase, including slide development and organization of rehearsals and coaching

Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 10 years' experience, including a minimum of 5 years managing complex A/E/C proposals
  • Experience leading teams and providing targeted and immediate feedback to facilitate their best work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic mindset and sound judgment to identify gaps in pursuits and proposals and coach team on solutions
  • Understanding of prioritizing projects and deadlines
  • Ability to build relationships with teams and oversee strategic actions with others
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, and other communications related software programs
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

Compensation and Benefits:
WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career.

Expected Salary: $89,500 - $182,400

WSP USA is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
