Job Description:

An Organization Development (OD) Strategist contributes to the evaluation and development of strategies considering organizational design and decision rights, capability maturity and development, and business processes.

The successful candidate will have the ability to:

• Create the Organization Development strategy portfolio and develop comprehensive OD strategies and solutions in support of the portfolio.
• Perform a complete and thorough needs analysis to clearly define the problem (problem set) and current state.
• Research and bring in-depth understanding of external best-practices and innovative approaches.
• Partner with Service Designers to translate research and insights into high-impact organization development strategies related to organization design, experience design, change management, performance management, and workforce planning.
• Facilitate sessions designed to create or powerfully redefine relevant missions, objectives, strategies, and actions.
• Individual coaching, designed to empower strengths and resolve weaknesses.
• Facilitate team building sessions and leadership workshops.
• Lead specific projects focused on producing measurable results that positively impact the client’s objectives.
• Create business cases, strategic plans, and organizational models to support the execution of the work.
• Create a cultural climate in which people want to be committed, and then provide them the training, skills, and resources to get the job done.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Organization Development, Industrial- Organizational Psychology, or related field preferred
• 6-8 years of relevant OD or related experience to include serving as external consultant and working with federal government clients
• Curious and open-minded approach to work
• Thrive in a continuous Build-Measure-Learn cycle
• Engage with technology—with comfort and ease (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Monday, Slack, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Human-Centered Design/Design Thinking, employee experience, customer experience, and/or service design
• Agile project management experience
• Change Management certification (such as Prosci)

Job Location and Travel Expectations:

• This position is remote. Some travel (>10%) is anticipated.
• Some meetings will be conducted on-site with customers in Washington, D.C.
