Job Description

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Payroll Analyst will assist with managing payroll activities for FirstKey Homes’ employees located in disperse geographic
markets. This role will process bi-weekly payroll, respond to employee questions and requests, maintain payroll system data
integrity, and manage data/reporting requests. Additionally, they will help develop payroll system processes, identify, and
implement system efficiencies, and support special projects related to payroll activities and support the research of all FKH taxes. This is a hybrid role reporting into the office twice a week. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Accurately process multi-state payroll for salaried and hourly employees on a bi-weekly basis including expense
reimbursement, time entry adjustments and other special pays. Address employee questions, investigate and resolve
system issues, escalate matters when necessary.
• Provide support and guidance to all FirstKey Homes’ employees regarding payroll systems, calculations, requirements and
processing.
• Ensure that employee payroll information is captured correctly, and documentation maintained. Manage workflows to
ensure all employee requests and payroll transactions such as base salary increases, promotions, bonus, equity awards,
new hires, terminations and other changes are processed timely.
• Research and send data for registration to UKG for new tax jurisdictions; oversee the setup of taxes and maintain tax filing
reports.
• Enter and process voluntary and involuntary deductions, including levies and garnishments, and answer the corresponding
interrogatories.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
• Manage pre-payroll activities by importing employee data files, coordinating with system vendor to create dashboards, and
scanning system to identify efficiencies that can enhance payroll operations.
• Maintain system integrity by regularly reviewing payroll reports and employee rosters for active and terminated employee
data. Ensure records are properly maintained in accordance to records retention policies.
• Manage requests for generating reports, pulling data and analyzing compensation data as requested by business leaders.
• Assist with managing Year-End tax procedures to ensure accurate and timely W-2s, ongoing Federal and State tax filing
information for active and terminated employees.
• Develop and document payroll system processes. Evaluate and update processes to ensure they remain current with
organizational operations.
• Support Total Rewards team with payroll-related projects.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Primarily working indoors, office environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or equivalent work experience and/or education.
• Minimum 3 years progressive experience in a payroll, compensation, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency using UKG and experience as a system Superuser.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Pursing or currently has an active Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
•Experience working in a fast pace, high-growth company.
