As a Payroll Specialist, you will be involved in processing payroll for our US and International operations. In this role you will work closely with the Global Payroll Lead to continuously improve our payroll processes to help us scale with the growth of the business. You will also have the opportunity to partner closely with other teams within the business such as our People Operations, Total Rewards, Financial Systems, Accounting and Finance teams. You will have the chance to create a lasting impact in driving value for our employees through your customer service mindset.
The day to day

• Process multi-state US payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Support Global Payroll Lead and act as a back up in processing international payrolls, as needed, for employees based in Ireland, UK, Poland, and Australia ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Review and ensure accuracy of payroll information, including new hires, terminations, benefit changes, garnishments, 401(k) contributions, and employee data changes.
• Reconcile salary, payroll taxes, and other deductions from payroll reports to general ledger and prepare and post payroll journal entries after each payroll run.
• Prepare payroll related reconciliations for audit purposes (workers comp, corporate insurance renewals, yearly audit).
• Research and respond to inquiries from employees, vendors, and taxing agencies on payroll related matters in a customer inspired manner.
• Process accurate and timely year-end reporting (W-2, W-2c).
• Maintain the US payroll calendar and communicate to internal partners.
• Maintain accurate and organized payroll records.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and management of financial controls and processes for your areas of responsibility.
• Perform ad hoc projects and payroll reports on an as-needed basis.

Your skills and expertise
Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of multistate payroll processing experience.
• Working knowledge of FLSA and other federal and state laws related to payroll (e.g., hours and taxation).
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, ability to provide excellent customer service to employees at all levels.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex payroll questions.
• Ability to remain flexible in a rapidly changing environment.
• Enjoy a fast paced deadline oriented atmosphere.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of multiple concurrent and diversified tasks, while working within deadlines.
• Sense of urgency and strong attention to detail.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Skills:

• Workday, ADP and Netsuite experience.
• BA/BS or Associates Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Experience working in the software or services industry.

Base Salary Range
$56,000.00 - $84,000.00
We believe that compensation should be reflective of the impact you have within the organization relative to the market value of your role. The estimated base salary range for this position is as listed above. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Our salary ranges are determined by job role and responsibilities and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for salaries for the position nationwide. The actual base pay will vary based on various factors including job-related skills and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
