The People Analytics Manager role will use a data-driven approach to influence people decisions and initiatives geared towards driving positive employee experience and business outcomes. This role will partner closely with core HR functions to better attract, develop, motivate, and retain talent.. The prospective candidate will have strong people metrics knowledge (non-recruiting and recruiting), systems and tech grasp (Workday, Greenhouse, Tableau, One Model etc.), excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead the work and team. You will play an integral part in driving the adoption and evolution of our people analytics products, building the people analytics muscle of the company, storytelling, and driving adoption of a people data-driven approach.
To be successful in this role, you will need a strong mix of backend data and systems understanding, data analysis expertise, project management skills, and a strong storytelling ability.
What You'll Do:- Enable effective, data-driven decision making by aggregating and analyzing complex data across multiple, disparate data sources and presenting insights in a holistic, solution-oriented, and actionable format
- Proactively identify and communicate compelling workforce stories, trends, and actionable insights via people data and business immersion to help drive accountability, focus and outcomes
- Experience with people analytics suite (One Model, Tableau, Qualtrics, etc.) and ability to create intuitive visualizations on these platforms based on strong people metrics knowledge (recruiting and non-recruiting metrics)
- Deep understanding of HR data structure and systems (HRIS- Workday, ATS- Greenhouse, LMS, and other business facing systems to understand the upstream and downstream effects of data changes on systems and processes and proactively identifying those process or system improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (DEI, L&D, Ops, Recruiting, BP’s) to identify and manage multiple concurrent projects balancing those that require inputs from cross-functional stakeholders and people analytic deliverables that are dependencies for these partner org’s
- Consult with internal stakeholders to deeply understand their business and people needs, scoping data requests, synthesizing insights, and recommending solutions to key business partners in collaboration with other members of the people analytics team
- Provide support and guidance for Audits and Data Validation - identify data discrepancies and continue to validate and clean our data.
- Actively educate and empower our BP’s, recruiting, leaders and stakeholders via continuous training, adoption, and engagement of data-driven people decisions mindset across the company
- See beyond the presenting numbers to help stakeholders interpret the data accurately and tell a story
- Demonstrate exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data
- Lead a team of analysts with empathy and technical knowledge
- 5+ years experience in fields such as people/HR analytics, management consulting, business analytics, or related analytics areas
- Knowledge of statistical analysis (e.g., descriptive statistics and knowledge of statistical significance), quantitative research, and experience gathering and interpreting data
- Project management experience with multiple stakeholders prioritizing and delegating projects/tasks
- Team management experience
- Experience engaging directly with various levels of an organization, while building trust and fostering collaboration
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective presentation skills
- Ability to handle confidential, sensitive HR data
Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units. The compensation range for this position will depend on where you reside. Motive uses three geographic zones to determine pay range. For this role, the compensation ranges are:
