About the position:

As a People Business Partner, you’ll play an integral role in Globalization Partners’ operations in the LATAM (Latin America) Region (Colombia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Mexico). Your day-to-day will involve answering employees´ queries about People team-related topics and working closely with the People Business Partners and People CoEs to coordinate the implementation of People initiatives, to ensure consistency and compliance.


What you'll do:

  • Manage day-to-day People Team activities for the LATAM region.
  • Become a trusted advisor and People Team front line for employees in Colombia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Mexico to answer queries about HR-related topics
  • Build and foster relationships with leaders and employees within your region and across the organization.
  • Work closely with the People Business Partners Team and COEs to coordinate the implementation of HR initiatives such as performance reviews, training programs, engagement surveys, and career development plans across the region.
  • Support other culture, training, and development initiatives as needed.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate escalation.
  • Partner with managers in region on performance management needs within their teams
  • Conduct and participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, ensuring local compliance.
  • Partner with People Operations team to execute the offboarding process (exit interviews and involuntary terminations)
  • Approve employee transactions in Workday (promotions, salary adjustments, terminations, bonuses, commissions, etc.)
  • Partner with other departments such as legal and payroll as needed.
  • Work with Functional, People Business Partner Directors on ad-hoc projects when needed.

What we're looking for:

  • BS/BA Degree or higher in People, International Business, Accounting, Law, or other depending on experience
  • 4-6 years of previous People experience, with a focus on Performance Management/Employee Relations and fostering cross functional, global collaboration
  • Previous experience as an HR/People Generalist or Business Partner in LATAM.
  • Excellent written and spoken Spanish and English language skills
  • Experience interacting with people internationally
  • Willingness to work flexible hours across time zones, as required for international business
  • Technical and analytical fluency; data mindset approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, and Google Suite
  • Experience liaising with and coordinating multiple team members to drive toward a goal
  • Ability to pay meticulous attention to detail, yet also see “the big picture”
  • Experience working with a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company
  • Creative thinking, and the ability to problem solve
  • Highly reliable and organized
  • This position could be based in Colombia or Mexico.
