We’re looking for a People Operations SpecialistWe’re looking for a People Operations Specialist who takes pride in getting the details right and keeping things running seamlessly. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who has strong instincts follows through and operates with a high level of ownership in their day-to-day work.
You’ll partner closely with the VP of People and support employees across onboarding benefits office operations and core People processes. This is a hands-on role with high visibility and an expectation of reliability responsiveness and strong judgment.
This role is based in our Chicago office with an in-office expectation of three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday).
How you’ll contribute
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data across systems (HRIS ATS and internal tools) with a high level of attention to detail
- Coordinate onboarding end-to-end ensuring every new hire has a smooth organized and professional first experience
- Execute employee lifecycle changes (promotions compensation updates status changes) accurately and on time
- Support U.S. benefits administration including enrollments audits employee questions and vendor coordination
- Act as a reliable first point of contact for employee questions providing clear timely responses and escalating when appropriate
- Coordinate recruiting logistics including scheduling and candidate communication ensuring a polished and responsive candidate experience
- Support day-to-day office operations including vendor management supplies and maintaining a well-run welcoming workspace
- Maintain and update internal resources (policies documentation Notion) ensuring information is accurate and easy to access
- Identify small process improvements and follow through to implement them
What you need
- 2–4 years of experience in HR People Operations office management or administrative roles in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with a track record of delivering accurate high-quality work
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities without dropping details
- Clear communication skills and a professional responsive approach to employee support
- A high level of ownership and follow-through. You reliably close loops and don’t let things fall through the cracks
- Sound judgment in handling sensitive or confidential information
- Comfort working independently while staying closely aligned with your manager
