What you’ll do:
You will be our first HRBP and also lead the small but mighty People Operations team; as an HRBP, your time will be primarily focused on the engineering and product teams. As a leader, you develop simple and effective people processes, coach and empower others, and support teams to achieve pioneering results. As a key member of the People Team, you’ll provide proactive guidance on hiring, org design, compliance, performance, development etc. that is both data-driven and creative. In this role, you will directly influence the culture and performance of ClassDojo. Come build with us!
You will be a match if:
- You have 7+ years experience in an HR Operations / People Partner role or similar.
- You have clear, concise written + verbal communication. We believe in strong documentation.
- You have experience in high-growth, tech start-up environments.
- You have experience partnering with and building world-class engineering orgs.
- You have a track record of building HR solutions that address real business needs.
- You have proven coaching and problem solving skills.
- You have bias towards high freedom + responsibility vs rules based culture.
- You are a hands-on, scrappy builder, who can go from 0 → 1.
- You provide clear structure and are able to develop simple, efficient, user friendly processes with supporting documentation.Â
- You are comfortable moving quickly and adapting to business needs. You raise the bar for speed and scrappiness.
- You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and changing priorities; can quickly reassess and take highest leverage action.
