About the Team
STR is currently in search of a qualified Personnel Security (PERSEC) Team Lead for our Woburn, MA office. In this role, you will lead a team of PERSEC Specialists, focusing on Special Access Programs (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) activities across all STR locations.
The Role:
As the PERSEC Team Lead, you will thrive in a dynamic and customer service-oriented environment while ensuring compliance with the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) partners.
What you will Do:
- Lead and manage a team of PERSEC Specialists.
- Foster open communication and teamwork among team members.
- Support the personal and professional growth of team members through training programs, skill development, and mentorship opportunities.
- Collaborate with government customers and various disciplines within Security, Operations, and Program/Technical Management to ensure PERSEC requirements/updates are met and communicated.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and integrate them into the team's workflow.
- Maintain various daily, weekly, and monthly logs for administrative functions associated with PERSEC.
- Manage the Joint Access Database (JADE) and similar government databases
- Build and maintain tracking spreadsheets/databases for customer PERSEC activities.
- Provide support for security awareness and education programs.
- Maintain relationships with Government Security support personnel
- Prepare, process, and/or review PARs for accuracy and access eligibility.
- Execute SAP nomination process questionnaires.
- Receive and/or transmit classified visit requests as necessary to meet customer needs.
Who you Are:
- This position requires an active Top Secret security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government
- Team Lead/Manager experience
- Collaboration with government customers and various disciplines within Security, Operations, and Program/Technical Management
- Familiarity with security policy/manuals and appropriate ICDs/DOD Manuals
- Maintenance of various daily, weekly, and monthly logs for administrative functions
- Data entry into the Joint Access Database (JADE) and maintenance of customer-sponsored billets
- Build and maintain tracking spreadsheets/databases for customer PERSEC activities
- Support for security awareness and education programs
- Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities
- Familiarity with security policy/manuals and appropriate ICDs/DOD Manuals
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with DOD, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
