Pharmacist in Charge/Pharmacy Manager

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of pharmacy practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care. The Pharmacist will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive medication management and support. Duties • Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy. • Provide medication counseling to patients, including information on proper administration, potential side effects, and interactions. • Collaborate with healthcare providers on medication management plans, particularly in areas such as pain management and medical management. • Supervise pharmacy technicians in the preparation and dispensing of medications. • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of practice within the pharmacy setting. • Utilize aseptic techniques for the preparation of sterile products, including IV insertion when necessary. • Conduct medication therapy management reviews to optimize therapeutic outcomes for patients. • Participate in pharmacy residency programs or training initiatives as required. Experience • A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution is required. • Previous experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is preferred. • Familiarity with pharmacy systems and technology to enhance workflow efficiency. • Proven skills in medication administration and knowledge of aseptic techniques. • Experience working with pharmacy technicians and leading a team is an asset. • A commitment to continuous professional development through ongoing education and training opportunities.
