In need of a Pipe Welder for a temp-to-hire position in Warminster, PA starting ASAP.

Pay:$30-38/ hr
Hours Worked:40hr weeks + Some OT depending on schedule
Per Diem:Need to be local and able to commute
Position Overview
The Welder is responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to customer drawings, specifications, or other instructions. Will be welding TIG on Stainless and carbon piping. Could be welding TIG on other materials as well as performing other weld processes such as MIG and Stick. This role requires expertise in welding techniques, ability to interpret mechanical drawings, and maintain high standards of safety and quality. Will be welding in a shop and out in the field at an industrial facility.
Key Responsibilities
Welding Operations:
· Pass various welding certification tests
· Manufacture fixtures and prepare welding setup per safety guidelines
· Interpret mechanical drawings including weld requirement symbology
· Select proper wire and filler material applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials
· Work with conventional and precision measuring instruments
· Perform process inspection, certification, and documentation
· Maintain welding equipment through regular maintenance activities
· Produce products within allotted time frame/delivery standard
Grinding and Finishing:
· Finish products through use of various manual and power grinding tools
· Perform routine maintenance on grinding equipment
Department Support Functions:
· Collaborate with other departments on scheduling
· Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping
· Perform other related duties and assignments as required
Required Qualifications
· High School Graduate or GED
· Successful completion of Vocational School/Machine Trade School Welding Course (preferred)
· Basic math ability and understanding of mechanical principles used in sheet metal fabrication
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints
· Proficiency in using measuring instruments to produce parts within decimal and angular degrees
· Ability to convert to and from metric measurements
Preferred Qualifications
· Previous experience in industrial welding
· Multiple welding certifications

Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand for two to three hours continuously

· Capable of lifting 45 lbs minimum, up to 60 lbs individually, and up to 120 lbs in a "buddy" lift
· Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
· Verbal communication skills
Work Environment
· Exposure to welding environment requiring specific Personal Protective Equipment (shields, aprons, gloves, etc.)
· Exposure to fabrication shop conditions including dirt, dust, and noise
· Potential exposure to extremes of heat or cold
· Exposure to solvents and electrical energy
· Work around machinery with moving parts and mobile vehicles
· Close collaboration with team members
· Some overtime may be required based on demand and management discretion
