OVERVIEW:

Skillsoft is seeking to add a Platform Solution Architect to join our amazing Pre-sales Team.

The Platform Solution Architect will have excellent communication and organization skills, knowledge and experience of essential software infrastructure including HRIS, LRS (LEARNING RECORD STORE), SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) and LMS (Learning Management System) systems, and a passion to help organizations unlock the potential of their greatest asset – their people. 

The Platform Solution Architect will be required to understand issues across a wide technical landscape from SSO (e.g., SAML), to e-learning standards and LMS platforms (e.g., xAPI, AICC, SCORM), to data extract and load (e.g., file-based integrations) and RESTFUL API-based integrations for large enterprise organizations.

• Getting results for our customers is vital, and this role requires someone that can discover the customer's needs and communicate to non-technical and technical audiences how Skillsoft can address these 
• As change is inevitable, you will need to be comfortable in a fast-paced and ever evolving business. Given the diversity of responsibilities and customers, we expect the individual in this role to enjoy learning quickly "on the job" and be driven to keep themselves up to date with industry knowledge and trends relating to implementation, e-learning technologies, and LMS
• Support sales teams in technical discovery with prospects to ensure we fully understand the customers vision, and the metrics and decision criteria they have
• Serve as technical subject matter expert for sales prospects on all aspects of integration between Skillsoft and customers SaaS (Software as a Service) applications, e.g., SSO, LMS integrations, HRIS integrations, RESTFUL API (Application Programming Interface), and BI (Business Intelligence) data streams
• Create demos, FAQs, and documentation for both non-technical and highly technical audiences
• Collaborate with the Product Managements teams to improve our products and integration services

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with SAML SSO
• Experience with LMS and content integration standards (xAPI, AICC, SCORM)
• Solid understanding of complex systems integration concepts (RESTful APIS, Data ETL) and project life cycles
• Ability to build positive relationships internally and externally, in-person and virtually
• Verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with non-technical and technical teams
• Effective project management, consulting, and organizational skills, specifically managing multiple, concurrent engagements
• 5-7 years in enterprise Sales Engineering or Solution Architect experience in a SaaS organization
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or an equivalent degree and experience
