Platform/Cloud Engineer (Senior)

• You are disciplined in requirements management and have strong attention to detail.

• You have more than eight (8) years of experience in managing products or services in cloud platforms. If school experience is used, at most that would contribute to 2 years of actual experience.
• You can demonstrate extensive experience defining and driving platform-based products, services, or solutions.
• You have a strong track record of incubating/building Cloud-based capabilities, API platform strategies, driving platform execution with engineering and launching cloud solutions.
• You are a hands-on engineer or coder with experience in Linux, Python, Cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI/CD tools and other open-source technologies.
• You employ strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and build consensus across a broad range of backgrounds, organizational levels and personalities.
• You have 6+ years’ experience implementing solutions that make extensive use of cryptography or public key infrastructure (PKI)
• You have a passion for problem solving and using emerging technologies to successfully meet requirements.
• You have the ability to obtain DHS Suitability

We'll REALLY love you if: (This is the bonus stuff that makes you stand out)

• You have at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering, or other comparable degree or experience.
• You have demonstrated ability to automate tools and Infrastructure-as-Code to manage installations, pipelines, and scripting.
• You have one or more cloud-based certifications from AWS, Azure, or GCP
• You have experience with JIRA and other Atlassian tools, Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or Docker.
• You have familiarity with cloud, virtualization, remote access and mobile technologies.
• You possess the ability to work independently/with minimal oversight.
• You're a team player, passionate, and have a strong work ethic!

What your day will look like:

• You will support both on-premise and cloud hosted enterprise applications.
• You will help to design and maintain Cloud services.
• You will identify and implement automation strategies in the SDLC process that enable high quality, rapid delivery of new solutions across multiple clouds.
• You will seek ways to continuously optimize and improve operational aspects of Cloud-based solutions.
• You’ll engage with senior level executives at a public facing Federal agency and provide subject matter expertise in security architecture and other key domain areas.
