The Opportunity

The position of POCT Account Manager is within our Toxicology business unit. This role will be responsible for building and sustaining relationships and supporting the growth of POCT Toxicology Workplace clients that have the largest growth potential and those with historical expectations of concierge service provided to them. The POCT Account Manager will serve as the liaison between Abbott and assigned clients, using a consultative approach to manage and up-sale the account to exceed client needs while focusing on operational excellence. This requires daily interface with all internal groups and client contacts at all management levels including executive support. The POCT Account Manager must adhere to deadlines and be willing to lead and facilitate special projects, as needed.

What You'll Work On

  • Perform customer troubleshooting, follow-up calls, visits, and support to accounts to ensure retention, and increase growth, volume, and utilization of eScreen products.
  • Lead account renewals and value-based pricing delivery for the customer base.
  • Execute goal and objective strategies as established by National Accounts leadership.
  • Create, coordinate, and perform training session(s), for accounts to meet their needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all product and service offerings.
  • Introduce marketing efforts to generate new business and grow existing accounts.
  • Review and provide data reporting and analysis to the client for their use and to identify changes in business trends that may indicate service opportunities.
  • Articulate account details regarding account productivity, which is growing and which is declining, and the reasons for the change.
  • Use customer relationships to promote additional products and services to influence account retention and volume growth over the prior year.
  • Maintain up to a 30% travel schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience required.
  • Experience with managing customer relations via phone, email, and in-person daily.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, including Excel (creating/maintaining spreadsheets), digital conference applications (e.g.: WebEx, Skype, etc.), CRMs, and similar platforms to track projects and document details

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in drug testing or Occupational Health-related account management.
  • Experience with managing customer relations via phone, email, and in-person daily.
  • Knowledge of Abbott Workplace products and software applications.
  • Detail-oriented professional with strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of Abbott products and software applications is a plus.
  • Must have proven skills and experience in extensive interactive client relationships
  • Needs to understand data and be able to analyze and articulate data findings to internal and external leadership
  • Must be an extremely organized person who can manage several open issues and continue to work on them until closed with a resolution; while working on all special projects
  • Must be a disciplined note-taker with strong attention to recording all applicable details of a project and all daily issue-resolution situations
  • Must have strong time-management skills to be able to perform required daily activities, take on new issues, and complete other duties
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to self-motivate.
  • Track record of goal achievement

The base pay for this position is

$56,700.00 - $113,300.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
