Portfolio Product Manager, IT Operations Platform and Tools

Introduction
IBM Software is looking for a Portfolio Product Manager to help define and communicate our IT Operations platform’s strategic focus and differentiated value. You will work with talented product managers and cross-functional teams to drive the creation of strategic presentations demos videos thought leadership articles and other content that demonstrates the value of the IT Operations portfolio. The primary product areas you will cover are Observability FinOps Application Resource Management AIOPs IT Financial Management DevSecOps and Application Lifecycle Management.

Applicants should have hands-on experience with one or more IT Operations products in the IBM portfolio (e.g. Instana Turbonomic Cloudability ApptioOne Targetprocess) or with equivalent products in the market and should have a significant understanding of the tooling requirements and challenges of IT Operations and SRE teams. Applicants should have strong written communication skills with a proven ability to deliver well-written documents presentations articles demo scripts and other assets.

Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role you will collaborate with a team of subject matter experts to:
• Create strategic presentations thought leadership articles and other content that demonstrates the differentiated value delivered by the IBM IT Operations platform.
• Develop use cases that bring to life how customers use the IBM IT Operations platform to improve the performance cost and security of their applications.
• Demonstrate how Generative AI and Large Language Models enable innovative capabilities that are strategic differentiators for the IBM IT Operations platform.
• Create demos and videos that highlight the differentiated features and value of the IBM IT Operations platform.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 2 years of experience in Product Management Technical Sales or equivalent working with IT Operations and SRE tools
• Hands-on experience with IT Operations Software
• Clear communicator with proven written communication skills
• Strong collaborator and team player
• Ability to lead within a matrixed organization to get work done

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 5 years of experience in Product Management Technical Sales or equivalent working with IT Operations and SRE tools
• Hands-on experience with two or more IT Operations/SRE tools
• Understanding of the IT Operations market
• Experience working with IT Operations or SRE teams
• Clear communicator with proven written communication skills
• Strong collaborator and team player Ability to lead within a matrixed organization to deliver
