Summary:
The Power BI Developer's primary responsibility is to optimize DFIN’s existing sales & compensation reports and improve/build data models & queries, that are flexible, streamline and sustain the GCM businesses ever changing needs.
Responsibilities:
- Recognize business requirements in the context of BI and create/modify data models, transforming raw data into relevant insights
- Optimize the performance of existing Power BI solutions and find room for improvement, driving faster response times and flexible outcomes, allowing data exception adjustments to be integrated accordingly
- Troubleshoot & resolve issues, ensuring the reliability and scalability of the Power BI environment
- Enhance the homegrown sales compensation reporting process developed within Power BI
- Compile information from various databases and data systems, so that collected data can be integrated, modified and applied for analysis
- Develop reports, dashboards, and interactive visualizations to help users clearly understand complex data
Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience building and managing Power BI reports & data sources
- Well-versed in the Power BI technology & understanding of the Microsoft BI stack
- Proficient in advanced-level computations on data sets
- Mastery in data analytics
- Be familiar with MS SQL Server BI Stack tools and technologies, such as SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, and DAX
- Familiar with Salesforce software
- Must be able to work independently
- Proven organizational and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail
- A bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, Operations or related quantitative field OR relevant experience
