In this role, you will join the strategically important Advanced Surgical Technologies (AST) Business Unit (part of the Surgical Operating Unit). This role creates value by providing business partnering support to our Research & Development (R&D) and Marketing organizations, with a focus on our portfolio of innovative new products. The team member will support our R&D Core Team leaders by providing strategic NPV modeling, project reporting, and critical analysis from incubation to product launch. A Day in The Life• Partner with functional stakeholders within the Operating Unit including the VP of R&D and Senior Finance Director of AST BU • Provide financial reporting and forecasting for Core Team leaders and upstream marketing core team partners leading development of our next generation products• Generate valuation models using various techniques and tools to quantity opportunities and prioritize the R&D portfolio for AST• Drive consistent use of R&D Finance Center of Excellence (COE) tools and processes (PDW, cost center/skillset alignment, etc)• Contribute as a key team member of the AST Finance and broader Surgical Finance organization through various opportunities to drive engagement, inclusion, and innovation• Create and distribute new product launch dashboards aligned with the marketing and OU leadership teams to track and ensure success of new products launched• Build budgets and forecasts for the AST R&D organization aligned to BU goals and objectives.• Assist in AST BU strategic decision making through financial modeling, detailed analytics and storytelling through data-driven insights• Assist with product lifecycle management (phase in/out) strategies through the monthly Portfolio Management Review of the IBP process• Responsibilities may include other duties assigned

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years accounting or finance experience with a Bachelor's Degree; or, 5+ years accounting or finance experience with a Master's Degree

Nice to Have

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience with finance applications such as General Ledger Systems, Cost Accounting Systems, etc.

• Hyperion/Essbase
