Some of the things you'll do

We are seeking an individual to join one of our Tektronix design centers in Beaverton, Oregon to design innovative CMOS, BiCMOS, and HBT RF integrated circuits at the heart of our next generation products. You'll work closely with an extraordinary team of multi-functioning engineers and managers to lead the development of industry leading solutions using world class design tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Using powerful ASIC tools to design building blocks of next generation ASICs.
  • Running simulations on designs to optimize design performance and manufacturability.
  • Performing signal analysis on the system outside the ASIC.
  • Characterizing designs or generating characterization plans.
  • Working with instrument product line architects to analyze power, cost, and performance trade-offs at the system level to drive trade-off decision making.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • MSEE/PhD in EE or equivalent
  • 10 years of experience directly designing analog and/or mixed signal integrated circuits used for analog signal processing (amplifiers, PLLs, ADCs, DACs, etc.)
  • Experience using modern ASIC design tools.
  • Ability to perform analog and RF analysis before needing the simulator.
  • Ability to work effectively with professionals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong verbal communication skills. Ability to generate quality documentation.
  • Some domestic travel may be required.
  • Layout experience for critical cells
  • Experience characterizing designs in the lab
  • Prior experience working effectively with remote domestic teams
  • A drive for keeping up with process technology as well as a desire for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ability to comprehend and influence architectural or design decisions
