Principal Automation Developer- Remote
Job Description
What are Key responsibilities:
- Write code for infrastructure automations, with high level complexity
- Write detailed technical specifications for entire systems (made up of several subsystems). Identify integration points.
- Report missing elements found in system and functional requirements and explain impacts on subsystem to team members
- Consult with Systems Engineers, Leaders, etc.
- Perform unit testing and debugging. Set test conditions based upon code specifications. Able to debug most program errors (simple to complex). May seek assistance from vendors to debug complex errors
- Assist technical team with defining configuration for installing products. May consult on database setup. May load database for testing, especially if there are multiple tables.
- Act as a technical mentor to other team members
What is Required:• 6+ years' experience in IT development/programming/coding professional work experience with infrastructure technologies• Deep experience working/developing code for automations• Hands on experience with Ansible.• Proficient in automation using Shell/PowerShell.• Deep proficiency with Unix/Linux commands.• Knowledge of Terraform and database concepts• Expert level experience and understanding with unit testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures.• Expert level proficiency using versioning and debugging tools.

What is Preferred:• Good understanding of Operating Systems, like RHEL, Windows and AIX• Knowledge of network components• Knowledge of Florida Blue systems and applications
General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Annualized Salary Range: $121,300 - $197,100
Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $121,300 - $151,600
Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
